Progress
Writing my first novel has been one of the most challenging, yet enjoyable, things I’ve ever done. I’m working on a satire which has elements that make it far more fun to write than a realistic story – in my opinion, of course.
I think the biggest challenge that I’m faced with is time. It’s more than just finding the time to write, it’s finding the time to write when I can clear my mind. Fortunately, I have a job that allows me to eat while I pursue this project but, unfortunately, I have a boss who is difficult. So, clearing my mind is of the utmost importance so my time to write is spent focused on the story.
And I’m nearing the end of the first draft at which time all of this will have felt worth it. Onward I go.
