So I’ve decide to give up technology for the next two months. No cable, no cruising the internet. I’ll still log in because I’ve got to check my email, write my blog, etc. but I’ll only use it in a utilitarian way. Not for perusing new clothes or reading trashy tabloids.
I decided to take this break because I’m starting to realize how much I don’t get done because of the instant gratification I get from turning on something that entertains me. I’m inspired by my childhood when I spent hours writing stories. There was no internet then, and only a few channels on the TV.
Hopefully this will go as planned and I’ll reach fall with a far more developed sense of doing.
